1.研究目的

主に電子線を用いた立体構造研究(電子線結晶学、単粒子解析法)を通して、生体膜を介した物質輸送を担うチャネルやポンプといった生体内における膜タンパク質機能を詳細に理解することを目的としています。特に、チャネルとしての機能以外に細胞接着等の機能を併せ持つ多機能性チャネル(水チャネルAQP4、クローディン等)の複雑な分子機構の解明に重点を置いて取り組んでいます。また、電子線構造解析を進める上で必要なプログラムの開発も併せて行っています。
